Abstract
This paper describes experiences from the practical application of a conceptual quality model in a large-scale commercial organization. The goal was to increase the economic efficiency of the existing application landscape. We used an activity-based two-dimensional quality model to evaluate software systems and to deduce effective and costefficient quality improvement actions. An important aspect of our work was the communication of results to the stakeholders, convincing them to implement the recommended actions.
